Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center - Nursing: 11T Enhanced Recovery After Surgery is seeking a PRN Day shift Nurse Aide I/II. This part-time, benefits-ineligible role supports patients with ADLs, hygiene, and vital signs, while performing basic nursing tasks and clerical duties.

The position requires a high school Diploma or GED, Nurse Aide I/II registry listing, and BLS certification. Work includes patient transport, safety instruction, and clinical equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Take vital signs and measure height/weight.
• Feed and ambulate patients per procedures.
• Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Instruct patients and families on unit safety.
• Assist with clerical tasks including answering phones, data entry and medical records.
• Maintain stock of supplies in inventory.
• Perform 12-Lead ECG and routine venipuncture as trained.
