AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking a Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care on the day shift. The role involves assisting with treatments, ensuring patient safety, and supporting clinical staff in a fast-paced acute-care setting.

Minimum High School diploma with active BLS CPR; CNA or CPCT/A certification required. Prior PCT experience preferred; benefits include comprehensive health coverage and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred ( bedside patient care in acute care or related roles ).
• BLS CPR cert required; CNA or CPCT/A cert required.

Responsabilités

• Perform treatments as per policy, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Respond to clinical emergencies and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Follow isolation guidelines and safety regulations; maintain hand hygiene and PPE usage.

Job Description

Schedule: Days Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.

Work Experience

1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred] Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications
