Job summary

AdventHealth Tarpon Springs in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to perform treatments per policy and provide patient care across age groups in an acute care setting. The role supports emergency responses and participates in quality initiatives.

CPR/BLS and CNA or CPCT/A credentials are required, with 1+ PCT experience preferred. The position offers a day shift, full-time schedule, and completion of safety and isolation protocols as part of daily practice.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit or equivalent medical experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required]

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
