Job Summary:

The CNA provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in patient care by performing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, and maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment. They utilize basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition, and fluid intake skills. The CNA recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program or significant nursing assistant experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification upon hire, or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation or the next available class. Throughout employment, BLS certification must be maintained through renewal during the renewal period or at the next available class.
