Preston House is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who can provide outstanding resident care and physical support daily in our residents' home. A CNA will offer compassionate care and assistance with activities of daily living. The ideal candidate has a big heart, supporting and responding to residents' emotional and physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with residents, family members, and staff
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA
• Assist with daily living activities, including turning, ambulating patients, and delivering food and beverages
• Help patients with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and assisting with bathing
• Provide adjunct care, like delivering ice packs, dressings, or soothing baths after therapy sessions
• Monitor and record food intake, urinary, and fecal output for medical staff
• Coordinate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses, processing information from other professionals
• Follow infection control precautions and practices
• Understand fire and emergency procedures; report safety violations

Requirements

• Passion for caring for the senior population
• High School diploma or GED
• State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
• Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently with guidance, maintaining clear communication
• Excellent oral communication skills, especially when speaking with health professionals and residents
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
