Job description

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including turning, ambulating patients, and delivering food and beverages.
  • Help patients with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and assisting with bathing.
  • Provide adjunct patient care as needed, including delivering ice packs, dressings, or assisting with baths post-therapy sessions.
  • Monitor and record food intake, urinary, and fecal output, sharing information with medical and nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses, processing information and providing updates.
  • Follow infection control precautions and report safety violations.
  • Understand fire and emergency procedures and report safety concerns.
Qualifications
  • Passion for caring for the senior population.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and health professionals.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
