Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with daily living activities, including turning, ambulating patients, and delivering food and beverages.
- Help patients with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and assisting with bathing.
- Provide adjunct patient care as needed, including delivering ice packs, dressings, or assisting with baths post-therapy sessions.
- Monitor and record food intake, urinary, and fecal output, sharing information with medical and nursing staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses, processing information and providing updates.
- Follow infection control precautions and report safety violations.
- Understand fire and emergency procedures and report safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Passion for caring for the senior population.
- High School diploma or GED.
- State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and health professionals.
- Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
