Job summary

Adoration Health, a BrightSpring Health Services affiliate, seeks a Hospice CNA to provide compassionate, 1:1 patient care in Oxford, AL. You will support patients and families, assist with daily activities, and collaborate with a hospice team in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes independence with strong team backing, allowing you to balance hands-on care with documentation and coordination duties in a community-setting hospice. Oxford location; M-F 8am-5pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience providing personal care.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised training (16 hours of practical training beforehand).
• CPR certification is required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises, and safe equipment use.
• Assist with medication management as allowed by state regulations.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Perform light housekeeping and ensure a clean care environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and participate in the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

As a Hospice CNA You will:

• Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning


• Monitor & Report: Observe and report changes in the patient's condition


• Mobility: Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use


• Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations


• Emotional Support: Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.


• Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.


• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation


• Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice


• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care


• Must be 18+ years of age


• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training


• Possess and maintain current CPR certification


• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given


• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill


• Ability to work with little direct supervision


• Ability to handle death/dying


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Good Organizational Skills
