Adoration Health in Oxford, AL is seeking a compassionate CNA/ Hospice Aide to provide dignity and comfort at the bedside. You will deliver 1:1 patient care, assist with daily activities, and support families during a difficult time.

Join a dedicated hospice team in a full-time role with flexible scheduling within Etowah and surrounding counties. The position requires state-approved training, CPR, and a patient-centered approach to end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• State training requirements met for practice.
• Six months of personal care experience minimum.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete 75 hours of training; 16 hours must be practical prior to further training.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Ability to read and follow written care instructions.
• Understands hospice philosophy and end-of-life care needs.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Good oral and written communication; strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility.
• Monitor & Report: observe changes in patient condition.
• Mobility: assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, safe equipment use.
• Medication Assistance: help with self-administered meds per state rules.
• Emotional Support: offer companionship to patients and families.
• Light Housekeeping: change linens, assist with meals, keep space clean.
• Documentation: maintain accurate and timely records.
• Team Participation: collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Meet the training requirements of the state of practice
• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care
• Must be 18+ years of age
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Ability to handle death/dying
• Strong oral and written communication skillsGood Organizational Skills
