Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a dedicated CNA/Hospice Aide to join our Oxford, AL hospice team. You will provide 1:1 patient care, support families, and contribute to comfort during a critical time.

The role offers weekday schedule 8am-5pm, full-time hours, and benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, tuition discounts, 401(k), PTO, mileage reimbursement, and access to wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience providing personal care.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and 16 hours of practical training (16 hours of classroom before 16 hours of practical).
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Understands hospice philosophy and comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to handle death/dying.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; good organization.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and repositioning
• Monitor: observe and report changes in patient condition
• Mobility: assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, and equipment use
• Medication Assistance: help with self-administered medications per state regulations
• Emotional Support: offer companionship and comfort to patients and families
• Light Housekeeping: change linens, assist with meals, maintain a clean space
• Documentation: maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Team Participation: collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team
