Location and Schedule

Location: Scottsboro, AL

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 8am - 5pm

How You Will Contribute

You will make a difference by coordinating with nurses to provide safe patient care, reporting on patient conditions, performing personal care, taking vitals, communicating with families, and other duties. You will travel between patients and work as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting families and patients during their end-of-life journey.

Qualifications

• Meet state training requirements
• Minimum six months experience providing personal care
• At least 18 years old
• Complete 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training (16 hours of classroom must be completed before 16 hours of practical training)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to follow written instructions and document care
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort with terminally ill care
• Ability to work independently
• Comfort with death/dying
• Strong communication and organizational skills
