Job summary

BrightStar Care - Anchorage is seeking caring, reliable caregivers to provide exceptional in-home support to clients in South San Jose, East Los Gatos, and Sunnyvale. You will assist with daily living activities, offer companionship, and help with transportation as needed.

The role requires a valid Home Care Aide registration with CDSS, a driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks. We offer weekly pay, flexible schedules, paid training, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience required.
• Must register as a Home Care Aide with CDSS.
• 18 years old and a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are required.
• Ability to pass a live scan background check and drug screening.
• CPR certification.
• TB test or chest x-ray.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ well-being or behavior.
• Follow care plans and safety protocols.
• Assist with medication reminders.
• Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed.
• Foster independence and promote social interaction.

• South San Jose: female, 9am-4:30pm (7.5 hour shifts), seizure safety and home care aide
• South San Jose: female, 4:30pm-12am (7.5 hour shifts), seizure safety and home care aide
• East Los Gatos: female, 6am-12pm (6 hour shifts), dementia and senior care
• Sunnyvale: female, 7:45am-5:15pm (9.5 hour shifts), CP Total Care (shift differential available)
• Sunnyvale: female, 9am-5pm (8 hour shifts), fall safety, daily life caregiving

Caregiver Pay Range

$21 - $26
