Vibra Hospital of Boise, part of Vibra Healthcare, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Boise, ID. This is a full-time position with day or night shifts and 12-hour duty periods.

You will support licensed nurses in daily living activities, document care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. A relevant CNA certification and state licensure are required, with BLS due within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current, valid Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing personnel in daily living activities and document care.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, safe environment and apply basic infection control procedures.
• Recognize emergencies and respond appropriately.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Boise, located in Boise, ID, is a 40 bed Critical Care Hospital, providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance to licensed nursing personnel in the provision of patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and grooming, and providing a clean, healthy and safe environment. Utilizes basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition and fluid intake skills. Recognizes emergency situations and responds.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Aide or other relevant experience in lieu of education will be considered.


• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant as applicable in the state of employment required.


• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor is required within six months of date of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Acute care/LTAC experience preferred.


• Ability to project a professional image.


• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.


• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.


• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.


• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.


• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
