Cedar Ridge Village in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. You will provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home setting, supporting daily living activities and promoting residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

Shifts

In general we offer 4 and 8 hour shifts for our CNA positions. We have openings for part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) and PRN positions.

• Days: 6am-2:30pm -Week One: Wednesday and Saturday. Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday-Part Time
• Evenings: 2pm-10:30pm-Week One: Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Week Two: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday- Part Time
• Nights: 10pm-6:30am every other weekend

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team! The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible to provide direct, hands‑on care to residents in a nursing home environment to ensure residents attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental and emotional well-being possible.

Responsibilities

• Follows and upholds The Community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plan.
• Completes documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of The Community.
• Follows rules outlined in the Community’s employee handbook.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
