Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the CNA is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living and other duties within the facility. Monitors health status, provides a safe environment, and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Promotes professional relationships with internal and external customers. Adheres to organizational policies, procedures, and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, nail care, toileting)
• Follow facility schedule for assignments
• Participate in care planning with interdisciplinary teams
• Rotate into day center services or clinic as needed, as deemed necessary by the Clinic Manager
• Support quality improvement programs
• Handle potentially infectious specimens with biohazard precautions, practice universal precautions
• Support organization in problem solving
• Participate in continuing education and staff meetings
• Maintain professional certifications and affiliations
• Ensure compliance with infection control, PPE, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous materials, and fire safety standards
• Attend staff meetings and care planning sessions regularly
• Maintain accurate records of services, reassessments, and participant wishes
• Prepare and submit reports timely
• Maintain confidentiality of participant information
• Perform additional duties at manager's discretion for career growth and organizational needs

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year experience with frail or elderly populations preferred
• Experience in long-term care or community-based geriatric programs preferred
• CNA License in Maryland required
• Servsafe Food Handler and Food Manager certifications preferred
