Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services in Alexandria seeks caring in-home caregivers for our senior clients. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, housekeeping, and health monitoring in the Alexandria area.

Ideal candidates have a CNA and a high school diploma, strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and can pass a background check. Flexible schedules and competitive pay support a rewarding role.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification or VA Board of Nursing license.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous caregiver experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely.
• Excellent communication and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Light housekeeping including laundry and cleaning.
• Monitor health changes and report them promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Communicate with family and healthcare professionals.

Always Best Care Senior Services of Alexandria is looking for care professionals to provide in-home personal care services to our senior community in the greater Alexandria area. We are seeking experienced professionals who are caring, flexible, and always willing to learn.

Pay: $20/hr

What you’ll do

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health and behavior.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

What you’ll need

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or license sponsored by Virginia Board of Nursing
• Previous experience as a caregiver or related field
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Two (2) professional references
• Ability to pass criminal record check
