Job summary

Delaware Hospice seeks a compassionate CNA to deliver person-centered care in patients' homes. You will provide personal care, light household tasks, and collaborate with the RN and hospice team to support comfort and dignity.

Two years of experience and Delaware CNA certification are preferred, with nursing students considered if conditions are met. Must have reliable transportation and a commitment to ongoing professional development; exposure to blood/body fluids is possible, with safety

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in hospital, extended care facility, home care or hospice preferred.
  • Delaware Nurse Aide certification or completion of 75-hour training with competency testing.
  • Nursing students may be considered if certification requirements are met.
  • Ability to lift and turn patients safely and maintain safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care within CNA scope under RN guidance.
  • Perform light household tasks and personal care in patients' homes.
  • Share expertise with family members and primary caregivers as needed.
  • Collaborate with the hospice team to support patient comfort and dignity.
