Job summary

Lone Star College in Houston seeks adjunct faculty to teach Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program. This part-time position supports the college and community by delivering hands-on instruction across lecture, lab, and clinical settings.

Candidates must hold Texas RN or LVN licensure, bring at least two years of nursing experience, and have teaching or supervising experience with adult students.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Texas as RN or LVN.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Experience teaching adult students or supervising Nurse Aides.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program.
• Develops and utilizes a course syllabus following institutional guidelines.
• Instructs students in lecture, on-site laboratory, and off-site clinical facilities, correlating theory with practice for state certification.
• Complies with state requirements established by TDHHS and LSC program expectations.
• Performs ongoing, written student evaluations and provides feedback.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Provides timely access to students through office hours and electronic communication.
