Job summary

Cottonwood Manor Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated CNA Caregiver/Medication Aide to join our team. The role focuses on person-centered care, assisting with activities of daily living and administering medications to residents with compassion and professionalism.

The position is full-time on the 2nd shift, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. We value ongoing training, teamwork, and respectful, resident-first care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed medication administration training and maintain applicable certifications.
• High school diploma or GED required; additional CBRF certifications preferred.
• CBRF classes include Standard Precautions, First Aid/Choking, Fire Safety, and Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per state regulations.
• Observe and document effects and any adverse reactions in MAR.
• Communicate concerns with Wellness Director/Coordinator.

Observes the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects, correctly documents the required information in the residents’ medication administration records, communicates any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator, or designated personnel. The Medication Aide also supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.We are looking for a full-time 2nd shift partner; this would include availability every other weekend and every other company recognized holiday.**Critical Success Factors*** Successful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with the state’s regulatory requirements and facility requirements.* Maintains up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.* Compassionate and empathetic in all interactions.* Effective oral and written communication skills.* Self-supervising, self-motivating; willing to collaborate and work as a team member.* Adaptable and flexible; highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands/tasks concurrently.* Demonstrates problem solving skills.**Preferred Qualifications*** Prior direct care experience preferred.* High school diploma or GED.* Meets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.* CBRF Class Certifications - Standard Precautions, First Aid and Choking, Fire Safety, and Medication Administration - Not sure?
