Harbor Haven Senior Living in Wisconsin is seeking a CNA Medication Aide/Caregiver to join our dedicated team. You will administer prescribed medications, observe effects, document accurately, and communicate concerns with Wellness staff.

You will also assist residents with activities of daily living, supporting independence and dignity. This full-time, second-shift position includes every-other weekend and holidays; we value compassion, reliability, and teamwork, with ongoing training to meet

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, observing effects and documenting results.
  • Record observations accurately in medication administration records and report concerns.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Communicate with Wellness Director/Coordinator regarding observations and needs.
  • Support residents’ social, cognitive, and physical well-being.

Observes the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects, correctly documents the required information in the residents’ medication administration records, communicates any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator, or designated personnel. The Medication Aide also supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.We are looking for full-time 2nd shift partners; this would include availability every other weekend and every other company recognized holiday.Critical Success FactorsSuccessful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with the state’s regulatory requirements and facility requirements.Maintains up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.Compassionate and empathetic in all interactions.Effective oral and written communication skills.Self-supervising, self-motivating; willing to collaborate and work as a team member.Adaptable and flexible; highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands/tasks concurrently.Demonstrates problem solving skills.Preferred QualificationsPrior direct care experience preferred.High school diploma or GED.Meets age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.CBRF Class Certifications - Standard Precautions, First Aid and Choking, Fire Safety, and Medication Administration - Not sure?
