Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The role provides patient care under RN supervision, aligned with our mission to support patients, families and communities.

This 30-hour‑per‑week daytime position involves three 12-hour shifts one week and two 12-hour shifts the next. Excellent communication and Maine CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Assists patients with emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors.
• Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
