Job summary

Aperion Care in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential daily care to residents, assist with hygiene, meals, mobility, and comfort, and document observations for nursing staff.

The role requires an active CNA license, High School diploma or GED, CPR and First Aid, and the ability to communicate clearly, manage time, and adapt to changing resident needs; CPR training provided, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant license in good standing.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to take additional state-required training or education.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions under your active license or certification and relevant duties.
• Know residents and provide care per care plans.
• Assist in daily activities including meals, ADLs, and social engagement.
• Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership when needs change.
• Care for residents with dementia with appropriate approaches.
• Take on other duties within your knowledge and experience.
