Job summary

Newport Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Newport, Oregon is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). You will provide routine daily nursing care and services according to each resident’s care plan, while building meaningful relationships with residents and collaborating with the care team. Requirements include an active Oregon CNA certification and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon CNA certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with eating.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assists residents with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists residents with ambulation as indicated in the facility.
• Takes and records vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Documents ADLs and care given on flow sheets as directed.
• Attends interdisciplinary meetings to provide input into care plans.
• Documents restorative services following facility policies.
