Job summary

Always Family HomeCare in Arlington is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide personal and companion care for an older gentleman with Parkinson's and early dementia. You will assist with transfers, hygiene, meals, and medication reminders in the client's apartment, alongside helping his wife who also needs support.

Shifts start Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm, with potential for additional hours.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver.
• CNA license highly desirable; CNA certificates will be considered.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test; immunizations including COVID-19 and flu encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follows RN Supervisor instructions to provide personal assistance.
• Assist with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes.
• Observe and report safety hazards or client observations.
• Attend staff meetings and 12 hours of annual in-services; orientation for new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings per care plan to RN.

Job Summary

Seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide personal care and companion care for an older gentleman living in Arlington. He has Parkinson's and early dementia, and will require assistance with transfers and for showering as he is a fall risk. Assistance with meal preparation and medication reminders. He lives in an apartment with his wife who needs help caring for him, especially while she is out running errands. Shifts are initially starting Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm with the expectation of additional hours. Some light housekeeping, grocery shopping and transportation to appointments may be required. Client and his wife are well traveled and enjoy different cultures. Caregiver must have reliable transportation.

CNA license is highly desirable, CNA certificates will be considered.

Benefits:

• Starting rate between $18 to $22 per hour based on licensing and experience.

Job Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Two years of experience as a Caregiver. CNA license is highly desirable, CNA certificates will be considered.
