Majestic Care Middletown is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA provides direct hands-on nursing care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and ensuring comfort, safety, and respectful care.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, helping with ADLs, documenting observations, assisting with admissions and transfers, and following infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• CNA certification and active status in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist or perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL) with residents.
• Respond to residents' call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair to areas of the community.
• Report any significant findings or observations to the nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer, and discharge to ensure a smooth transition.
• Safeguard residents’ personal possessions and keep rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques.
• Respect residents' rights, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach residents to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent complications.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and ensure follow-up occurs.
• Converse with residents and families; assist them in adjusting to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition; report deviations from norm to the charge nurse promptly.
• Perform vital signs and weight accurately.
