Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, part of Empath Health, is seeking a compassionate CNA for our Hospice House in Ocala and Summerfield. Join a mission-driven team delivering Full Life Care with dignity to patients at the end of life.

Responsibilities include hygiene care, feeding assistance, and maintaining a safe environment across facilities. PRN, 12-hour shifts, with CEU support and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• One to three years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License is required if you drive for work between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Prepare and serve regular and special diets; assist with feeding as needed.
• Shampoo hair and shave as requested; provide baths or showers.
• Perform bed changes, oral hygiene, and light housekeeping as needed.

As part of Empath Health, we help neighbors with advanced illness live as comfortably and meaningfully as possible, while supporting their families and caregivers with respect, guidance, and dignity. **Schedule: 12-hour shifts, PRN** **What You'll Do*** Assist patient in maintenance of good personal hygiene and promote a healthful, clean and safe environment.* Prepares and serves regular and special diets as directed. When this occurs, the colleague is responsible for their own transportation to the alternate facility and at their expense.
