Job summary

Palomar Health in Escondido, California, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide and document patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. You will ensure a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment while participating actively as a team member.

The ideal candidate will have a good command of English and knowledge of standard office equipment and computer software. Responsibilities include assisting the RN in caregiving and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider requirement.
• Availability to complete MRI & Radiation Safety training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and document procedures for patients under RN direction.
• Assist in creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
• Participate as a team member and ensure resource access for customers.

Provides and documents care to patients under the direction of the RN, to include safe, comfortable and confidential environment. Participates as a team member to insure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
