Job summary

Palomar Health in Escondido is seeking a CNA to provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. You will document care, support a safe and respectful environment, and assist with routine tasks in a fast-paced hospital unit.

The role requires English fluency, basic computer skills, and a willingness to work a 12-hour night shift. Certification in CNA and basic life support are preferred, with opportunities to grow within a large health system.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or equivalent required/licensure.
• 0–6 months related experience required.
• 1 year related preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Night shift available; 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document patient care under RN direction, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure appropriate resources for internal and external customers.
• Speak and read English at a level sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Maintain proficiency with standard office equipment and PC software (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Adhere to Palomar Health policies, rules, and applicable laws; support the health system's mission and quality commitments.
