Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas.
• Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in Texas and Misconduct Registry.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity.
• Ensure resident safety and comfort during care.
• Follow care plans and assignment schedules.
• Assist or feed residents as needed.
• Provide toileting, hygiene, and basic nursing support.
• Document care in the electronic medical records system.
