Job summary

Our Lady of Hope in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide hands-on care for senior residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementia forms. CNAs will assist with daily living tasks, engage in life enrichment programs, and work closely with both residents and families. The ideal candidates will have CPR and First Aid certification and preferably experience in senior care. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time positions covered in incremental payments over 18 months.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to acquire within 60 days.
• Experience in senior care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report incidents or changes in residents’ condition to supervising nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Participate in resident life enrichment programs.
• Interact effectively with residents and family members to address concerns.
• Participate in staff training, including Reflections Memory Care Program training.
• Other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Overview

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in our Christopher Center are responsible for providing hands‑on care to our senior residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. These caregivers assist memory care residents with direct care needs and are specially trained in our Reflections Memory Care Program. These caregivers get to know residents on a personal level and will alert management when a resident’s needs change. CNAs must be dedicated, compassionate, and respectful. CNAs are hands‑on caregivers who make a positive difference in the lives of our residents each and every day.
