Job summary

Lions Gate is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Voorhees Township, NJ, seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our skilled nursing and long-term care team. You will provide compassionate, hands-on support to residents with daily living needs, ensuring comfort and safety while upholding Kosher standards of care.

You will report to the Director of Nursing, assist with ADLs, monitor residents, and collaborate with staff to maintain a respectful, dignified

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nursing Assistant training and NJ Nurse Aide Registry certification in good standing.
• Clear English communication, written and spoken.
• Dependable, punctual and present when scheduled.
• Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA rules.
• Ability to provide care in a Kosher environment.
• Willingness to complete annual education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care and assist residents with all ADLs including bathing, grooming, dental care, toileting, dressing, and mobility support.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using approved equipment: walkers, gait belts, wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, lift sheets, etc.
• Ensure residents who are incontinent are kept clean, dry, and comfortable; change linens as needed.
• Support resident safety and comfort by answering call lights promptly and responding to needs.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, welcoming resident environment — making beds, setting rooms in order, and encouraging independence.
• Perform supervised clinical tasks including vital signs, intake/output, specimen collection, hot/cold compresses, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Monitor proper body alignment and perform/assist with ROM exercises to promote mobility and prevent ulcers.
• Provide meaningful personal support such as reading to residents, helping with letters, TV/radio use, and in-room therapy activities.
• Work as a trusted partner with nursing staff and other departments to maintain seamless, resident-centered care.
• Uphold all safety standards, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements (state, federal, OSHA, HIPAA).

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Nursing Assistant training and current New Jersey Nurse Aide Registry certification in good standing
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Dependability — punctual, responsible, and consistently present when scheduled
• A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and resident dignity
• Willingness to meet all annual education/in‑service requirements
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA standards
• Ability to provide care within a Kosher environment and follow all dietary‑related policies
