Job summary

Northrise Assisted Living & Memory Care in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The role supports residents with daily living activities and delivers compassionate care in a respectful environment. The position offers full-time and PRN shifts (7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A) with benefits for full-time staff.

A CNA license and at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical experience during training are required. We value trust, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned per policies and procedures, nursing care rules and safety standards.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality nursing care.
• Verify resident identity before care and meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and keep bedside/overbed areas tidy.
• Ensure clean water pitchers and accessible drinking water for residents.
• Other duties as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: GENERAL

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assure that water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident’s reach.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
