Qualifications

• Minimum of a master’s degree in a specific degree for the position being recruited or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in a related field.
• Minimum of one-year full-time teaching experience, or the equivalent as an adjunct instructor. Higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Equivalent/applicable combination of education and experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position required.
• Knowledge with pedagogy, teaching experience equating to two years; strong background in computers and technology; excellent organizational and office skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to research and analyze data; ability to work independently toward goals.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned by the designated supervisor.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with approved course objectives.
• Develop and submit course outlines and syllabi to the supervisor.
• Assist in developing measurable course objectives and plans.
• Build professional relationships with students and staff to foster communication.
• Maintain accurate course records and complete required forms.
• Be available for student consultation.
• Assist in recruiting students when appropriate.
• Assist in evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
• Represent the college professionally in the community and college district.
• Engage in professional development as required for credentialing.
