Job summary

Carlton Shores Health & Rehab Center in Daytona Beach, FL seeks an Activities Assistant to join our team. Must hold a current FL CNA certification and be capable of leading the activities department in the director's absence. Strong English communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification in FL.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in activity-related duties.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to lead in the Activity Department in the absence of the Director.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and implement activities meeting residents' social, emotional, physical needs.
• Initiate and promote activities inside and outside the facility while ensuring safety.
• Coordinate assistance for residents for activities and events as needed.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events.
• Create and maintain a monthly activity calendar accessible to residents and staff.
• Maintain activity records and documentation per policies and regulations.
• Engage community groups and volunteers for facility activities and events.
• Plan, organize, and direct Activity Department fundraising events.
