The Greens at Pinehurst is looking for a special Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Activities Assistant to join our Memory Care team!
This isn't your typical CNA position. You'll have the opportunity to use your CNA experience while helping create fun, connection, comfort, and meaningful moments for residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Full-Time
Primarily Day Shift
Evening and weekend availability required as needed
Schedule may vary based on resident activities, events and celebrations
As a CNA Activities Assistant in Memory Care, you'll help create engaging experiences tailored to the individual needs and abilities of our residents by:
Planning and leading fun, meaningful activities and special events
Leading games, crafts, music, exercise, sensory activities and resident celebrations
Providing one-on-one engagement and companionship
Encouraging residents to participate at their individual comfort level
Bringing fresh and creative activity ideas to the team
Assisting residents to and from activities
Helping decorate and prepare for holidays, events and special occasions
Adapting activities for different physical and cognitive abilities
Supporting residents with CNA-related care needs as needed
Documenting resident participation as required
Working alongside nursing and other departments to create positive experiences for our residents

Comfortable leading and participating in group activities
Able to provide calm reassurance and redirection when needed
A strong communicator and team player
Able to safely assist residents, including pushing wheelchairs
Active North Carolina CNA Certification – Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with Memory Care, Alzheimer's or dementia care is a plus
Activities, recreation, senior living or long-term care experience is a plus
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
