Job summary

The Greens at Pinehurst is hiring a CNA Activities Assistant to support Memory Care residents in Pinehurst, NC. This full-time role focuses on engaging residents with meaningful activities, one-on-one interactions, and group events to enhance memory care experiences.

You’ll lead activities, support residents with caregiving needs, and collaborate with the nursing team to create joyful moments for residents living with memory loss.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina CNA Certification is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with Memory Care, Alzheimer's or dementia care is a plus.
• Activities, recreation, senior living or long-term care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead fun, meaningful activities and special events.
• Lead games, crafts, music, exercise, sensory activities and resident celebrations.
• Provide one-on-one engagement and companionship.
• Encourage participation at residents' comfort levels.
• Bring fresh activity ideas to the team.
• Assist residents to and from activities and help with decorations.
• Adapt activities for different abilities and support CNA-related care needs.
• Document resident participation as required.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to create positive experiences.

Are you a CNA who is creative, energetic, compassionate, and loves making others smile?

The Greens at Pinehurst is looking for a special Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Activities Assistant to join our Memory Care team!

This isn't your typical CNA position. You'll have the opportunity to use your CNA experience while helping create fun, connection, comfort, and meaningful moments for residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Your Schedule

• Full-Time

• Primarily Day Shift

• Evening and weekend availability required as needed

• Schedule may vary based on resident activities, events and celebrations

What You'll Do

As a CNA Activities Assistant in Memory Care, you'll help create engaging experiences tailored to the individual needs and abilities of our residents by:

• Planning and leading fun, meaningful activities and special events

• Leading games, crafts, music, exercise, sensory activities and resident celebrations

• Providing one-on-one engagement and companionship

• Encouraging residents to participate at their individual comfort level

• Bringing fresh and creative activity ideas to the team

• Assisting residents to and from activities

• Helping decorate and prepare for holidays, events and special occasions

• Adapting activities for different physical and cognitive abilities

• Supporting residents with CNA-related care needs as needed

• Documenting resident participation as required

• Working alongside nursing and other departments to create positive experiences for our residents

Qualifications
