Job summary

Washington Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking an energetic full-time Activities Aide CNA to work at our Argyle, NY facility. The role focuses on implementing engaging activity programs tailored to individual resident interests and coordinating supplies and programming with the recreation team.

The ideal candidate has a valid NY CNA license, experience in healthcare activities or recreation therapy coursework, and strong computer and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Must have a valid NY CNA license.
Experience with activities in healthcare or recreation therapy coursework.
Geriatric population experience preferred.
Strong computer skills.
Positive attitude, energy, and ability to work as a team member with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

Implement activity programs for residents with focus on individual interests.
Work directly with residents on units without direct supervision.
Organize supplies and equipment as requested.
Assist recreation specialists and set up program areas.
Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities.
Assist residents in programming the location and return to units.
Be familiar with established emergency procedures.
