Northern Manor Center in Nanuet, NY is seeking energetic Recreation Aide CNAs for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The role focuses on implementing activities programs tailored to residents' interests and involves direct work on units with minimal supervision.

Applicants should hold a valid NY CNA license, bring a positive attitude, and have experience with healthcare activities or recreation therapy in a college setting.

Qualifications

• Valid NY CNA license.
• Experience with activities in healthcare settings or college work in recreation therapy.
• Experience with geriatric population preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities programs for Residents; focus on individual interests.
• Work directly with Residents on units; without direct supervision.
• Organize and obtain supplies and equipment as requested.
• Assist recreation specialists & set up program areas as needed.
• Keep daily attendance and document residents’ participation in activities.
• Assist residents to program location and return residents to appropriate units.
• Be familiar with established emergency procedures.
