Job summary

Arbor Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor. You will participate in shift reports and assist residents with bathing, grooming, hygiene and the placement of adaptive equipment.

You will explain procedures before administering care, keep residents dry, change gowns and linens as needed, and make beds.

Qualifications

• State approved Nurse Aide Training completed.
• Name on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to read and write.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)
