Job summary

Prescott Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role includes assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and use of adaptive equipment, with emphasis on communication and patient comfort.

The ideal candidate has completed a State Approved Nurse Aide Training and is listed on the State Registry in good standing.

Qualifications

• Completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Must be listed on the State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Must have the ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)

Objective
