Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Texas is seeking a Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to residents under supervision. The role supports daily living activities, helps with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and transfer assistance, and ensures comfortable, safe bedside care.

Applicants must have state-approved Nurse Aide Training and be listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry in good standing; prior experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty.
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Explains procedures to residents before administering.
• Keeps residents dry by changing gowns, clothing, and linens when wet or soiled.
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles under residents.
• Makes beds, both occupied and unoccupied.

Job description

Objective

Provides basic nursing care to residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and performs basic nursing procedures under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.

Principal Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty
• Assists residents with resident care including bathing, grooming, hygiene and placement of adaptive equipment
• Explains procedures to residents before administering
• Keeps residents dry (changes gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled)
• Changes bed linens and keeps linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under residents
• Makes beds (occupied and unoccupied)

Qualifications

• Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing; Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff; Must have the ability to read and write.
• Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required
