Job summary

Avera is seeking a Regular employee for the Afternoon Shift at Avera Maryhouse. You will provide direct, personal care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, assisting with daily living activities and basic medical tasks.

The schedule includes 2:00pm–10:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation. Qualifications include CNA certification within 120 days, high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Adequate visual acuity to perform job duties and observe residents.
• Ability to hear and respond to resident needs and nurse instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform routine and some non-routine nursing support tasks.
• Record vital signs and document accurately in charts.
• Restock supplies and maintain a clean, safe unit environment.
• Provide emotional and spiritual support to families.
