Job summary

Blakehurst is a Life Plan Community in Towson, MD, seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA-1) for full-time and part-time shifts. Pay ranges from $19 to $24 per hour based on experience, with various shift options in the Comprehensive Care Unit, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience working as a CNA-1.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.
• All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, including fitness for duty, background check, drug test, and references.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Assist with mealtime and feeding encouragement.
• Complete and document shift assignments; notify nursing supervisor if unable to complete.
• Communicate with residents, families, and nursing leadership as needed.
• Provide planned activities and respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.

• Part-Time Shift 3pm-11:30pm, Every other weekend
• Part-Time Shift 3pm-11:30pm, Every other Mon, Fri, and weekend

Shifts Available in Assisted Living Unit:

• Part-Time Shift 11pm-7:30am, Every other Tuesday & Fri

Shifts Available in Memory Care:

• Full-Time Shift 11pm-7:30am, Every other weekend, Mon & Fri; Every Tues, Wed, Thurs
• Part-Time (CNA-1/CMT):Shift 3pm-11:30pm, Every other Weekend
• (Evening/night shift differential included)

Blakehurstis recruiting for hospitality focused Certified Nursing Assistants-1 to join our team.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA-1.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.
