Job summary

Massapequa Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a reliable CNA to join our skilled nursing team in Amityville, NY. You will perform a variety of care practices for residents per the plan of care and must demonstrate competency in the required skills.

Requirements include current certification by the New York State Department of Health, ability to lift residents (minimum 50 pounds), and transfer residents as needed. LTC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently certified CNA by the New York State Department of Health.
• Ability to lift residents (minimum 50 pounds) and help with turning/positioning.
• Ability to transfer residents from sitting to standing and vice versa.

Massapequa Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 320-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Amityville NY, our mission is to provide the highest level of care for each of our residents.

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to perform a variety of care practices to assigned residents. CNAs must demonstrate competency in skills and techniques necessary to care for residents needs as described in the plan of care.

• Currently certified by the New York State Department of Health
• Must be able to lift residents (minimum 50 pounds) and turn and position numerous times during the course of a work day.
• Must have the ability to transfer a resident from sitting to standing position and vice versa.
• Must have the ability to climb stairs, bend, maneuver equipment and push small carts.
• LTC experience a plus.
