CHI Mercy Health Valley City is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide essential patient care under RN direction. You will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and contribute to the plan of care as a key member of our interdisciplinary team.

This role requires prior healthcare experience, a North Dakota CNA certification, and BLS within 30 days of start. A sign-on bonus of $2500 is available.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Provides basic nursing care within scope of practice and age-specific needs (bathing, hygiene, feeding, elimination, activities).
• Reports vital signs, weights, intake/output, and glucose readings; collects data for care plans.
• Assists with implementing care plans and distributes meals, water, and snacks promptly; collects specimens following proper procedures.
• Assists designated personnel with procedures, treatments, or examinations as required.
• Uses equipment safely and reports malfunctions (scales, BP devices, thermometers, lifts, gait belts, restraints, telemetry leads).

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

What You'll Do...

• Provides basic nursing care within scope of practice and according to age specific needs. -bathing, hygiene, feeding, elimination needs, and patient activities.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care.
• Performs assigned nursing data collection and reports any irregularities to appropriate nursing personal in timely manner vital signs, weights, intake and output, and glucose readings.
• Participates in implementation of care plan according to individual patient needs; distributes water glasses, meal trays and snacks in a timely manner, collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens following correct procedure.
• Assists designated personnel with procedures, treatments or examinations as required.
• Uses equipment properly and safely, reports malfunctions appropriately scales-infant, standing, chair, wheelchair, bed scale, B/P recording devices with pulse oximeters, tympanic thermometers, Hoyer lift, gait belt, restraints, lead application for telemetry unit.

This position is eligible for a $2500 sign on bonus!

Required

Job Requirements

• Previous healthcare experience
• Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the state of North Dakota
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the Amercian Heart Association within 30 days of start date

Pay Range

$17.28 - $24.41 /hour
