Job summary

Ambercare Hospice is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our team in Santa Fe, NM. The CNA will provide essential personal care and support to patients in their homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• State-certified nurse aide (CNA) per NM requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record.
• Must be 18 years of age or older per state law.
• Valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and shop for groceries as needed.
• Assist with feeding and monitoring intake.
• Observe skin condition and report changes to the Case Manager.
• Maintain patient comfort and dignity while supporting home-based care.

What You’ll Do

• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping
• Assisting in feeding the patient
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Maintains a current CPR Certification
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements
