Job summary

Ambercare Hospice in Belen, NM is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our home-based care team. You will provide personal care, mobility support, and companionship to patients in their own homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Daily tasks include baths, dressing, nutrition support, skin care, feeding assistance, and reporting changes to the Case Manager. A state nurse aide certification and CPR are required, with mileage compensation and opportunities

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Maintains a current CPR Certification.
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record.
• 18 years of age or older unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver's license with an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assisting in feeding the patient.
• Providing proper care and observation of patient’s skin to prevent tissue breakdown.
• Reporting on patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
