Job summary

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located at 169 Davenport Avenue, New Haven CT, is hiring part-time CNAs for first (7am-3pm) and second (3pm-11pm) shifts. Join a resident-centered team providing compassionate care alongside licensed nurses and a multidisciplinary staff.

Shift differentials, 1199 opportunity, PTO and holiday pay are offered. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, vital signs, transfers, emotional support, and maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA Certification in CT is required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs; report changes in resident condition.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Document care provided per facility policies.

We are currently hiring part time, every other weekend, CNAs for first shift (7am-3pm) and second shift (3pm-11pm).

Position Summary:

As a CNA, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents' health and well-being. You'll work alongside licensed nurses and an interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive exceptional care with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility

• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in resident condition

• Support residents with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment

• Document care provided in accordance with facility policies

Qualifications:

• Active CNA Certification in the state of CT

• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
