Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Northwest Indiana is seeking compassionate CNAs for in-home, one-on-one care to support seniors in aging in place with empathy and integrity.

Responsibilities include social companionship, help with meals, meds reminders, bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments. Qualifications include dementia experience a plus, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Must be able to lift approximately 25 lbs and perform daily caregiving tasks.
• Must have access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship for clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks: feeding, medications reminders, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers and overnight safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
