Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our team in providing in-home care to seniors, one-on-one, in the Northwest Indiana area. You will build relationships with clients who wish to age in place, delivering diverse care with empathy, excellence, and integrity.

We offer flexible schedules, room for advancement, paid mileage between shifts, and an encouraging environment that supports your daily tasks and responsibilities in client homes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Daily access to email and the Internet.
• Proof of TB test as required by Indiana.
• Must be physically able to lift ~25lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship for clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, hygiene, light housekeeping, laundry, meals).
• Transport clients to appointments and outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
