Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Merrillville, IN is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our in-home care team. You will work one-on-one with seniors, delivering a range of care services to support aging in place with empathy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation plus proof of valid license and insurance.
• A compassionate heart for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, medication reminders, bathing/dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking)
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
